Position Location: 100% telework following one week of training onsite at Sunrise, FL and the ability to travel up to 20%.

SR Technologies (SRT) is expanding and we’re looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team! We’re headquartered in Sunrise, FL where we provide highly competitive satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular technologies and services to our government, law enforcement, and commercial customers. The Embedded Software Engineer will be a key member of the engineering team; you will design, simulate, and implement software modules.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Implement and verify software algorithms.
• Perform moderate code design tasks.
• Assist with complex code design tasks.
• Create efficient code, working closely with other team members.
• Take ownership of moderately complex tasks and drive them to completion.
• Understand and execute test strategies to deliver quality software.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and maintainability of code.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Assist with customer or official contacts and communications pertaining to specific assignments or meetings. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (BS/CE or BS/CS) from four-year college or university, or 4-7 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills required: (Text Editor; Command-Line source code Compiler; Code Development Software; Microsoft Office Suite)
• Possesses effective oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed.

  10. Any Satellite, Wi-Fi, Cellular protocol experience
  11. Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  12. Any ARM development experience - Raspberry PI, TI OMAP, etc.
  13. Scripting experience - Python, Lua, Shell, etc.
  14. Source Code Control
