Squishable is Hiring a Remote Retail Training & Field Specialist

What does the Retail Training & Field Specialist do?

The Retail Training & Field Specialist has full responsibility for training programs and courses at Squishable. The Specialist implements new training programs and adjusts the current ones ensuring that all training courses are up to date. You will work closely with Retail and Corporate management teams to ensure content and strategy reflects day-to-day business. Will work with the HR team to ensure every employee is trained and all courses are up to date. This position does include travel, please do not apply if you are not comfortable with traveling to our onsite retail locations across the U.S.

Responsibilities :

  • Creates, organizes, plans, and facilitates onboarding, orientation, compliance, and skills training for the organization. Track to ensure all employees are up to date on all company-wide training.
  • Design & develop learning strategy, interactive materials, eLearning courses, videos, job aids, and instructor-led training for workshops (in-person and virtual).
  • Field training, including new-hire training, functional training, and compliance training-in person or virtual classroom environments
  • Identifies training gaps and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers and leadership team
  • Develop unique training programs to fulfill the organization's specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Support the retail team in the development of training materials for Operational Manuals.
  • Willingness to travel monthly to support on-site stores
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn various software applications relevant to this position
  • Demonstrated ability to use tact, diplomacy, and professionalism
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • 3-5 years of prior retail management experience minimum, including at least 2 years in a training role.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule 
  • A commitment to professional and ethical behavior
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in learning and development in the retail industry.
  • Experience with LMS systems
  • Reporting and data analysis 

Travel:

The position will require traveling to our market locations. You will be in a location working within our retail teams. The percentage of time may vary from week to week depending on the needs of training. A valid Driver’s License is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Work Location: REMOTE but preferably in a state that a Squishable store is in such as CA, DC, DE, FL, HI, IL, OH, PA, NJ,NY, MA, MD, MI, MN, NV, OR, TN, TX, WA and VA
