Squire Resort at Grand Canyon is Hiring a Night Security Manager Near Tusayan, AZ

The Opportunity 

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a Security Manager to join our team at Squire Resort at Grand Canyon in Tusayan, Arizona. As Security Manager, you will work to direct and oversee security operations as defined by leadership and supervise team members through planning and scheduling of work assignments and performance development.

The Squire Resort is a unique destination with many guest amenities and team member facilities. The Security Manager position will lead guest and team member safety, quiet hours enforcement, and local community visitation.

Please note: This is an overnight position. The working hours are 10pm - 6am.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $56900 - $76800 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities 

  • Maintains a safe environment for all, and actively reports safety hazards and issues.
  • Assist in the creation of department policies and procedures and ensure the team is trained and equipped to deliver.
  • Demonstrates skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficultly and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the guest's goodwill.
  • Observes, and investigates internal and external incidents, motor vehicle accidents, and medical situations. Composes written reports and takes photos when necessary.
  • Oversees and ensures that department equipment (radios, motor vehicle, key cabinets, etc.) and supplies are maintained, in their proper place, and available for use.
  • Effectively communicates to keep the team advised of daily events and all company and departmental changes.
  • Follow all confidentiality policies and regulations regarding security and administrative information.
  • Act as liaison between police agencies and regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate staff levels, coaching, and corrective action.
  • Role model Delaware North's guest service program, ensuring excellent guest service at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 21 years of age. 
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of related security experience required. Prior law enforcement is a plus.
  • Some supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills including word-processing, spreadsheets, routine database activity, and e-mail.
  • Must be able to handle conflict situations with tact and maintain your composure at all times.
  • Have the ability to use a digital camera, scanner, and various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work 10pm - 6am.

Physical Requirements 

  • Requires some bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
  • Standing and walking 30% of the time.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
  • Must be able to work in darkened areas.
  • Able to be confined to a small area for a long period of time.
