What to expect:

**Hiring Immediately!! This is a full-time, 6 month contract job in Marion, VA. We are searching for Quality Mechanical inspectors all over the United States, who will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies that this global aerospace leader is sourcing from a supplier in this area. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client need and each supplier’s production schedule.

What you’ll do:

• You will be conducting composite/mechanical inspections at client supplier in Marion, Virgina.
• In-process and final source inspection of composite and mechanical parts.
• Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards.

What you’ll need:

• Ability to understand and interpret blueprints (GD&T) and all applicable drawings
• Ability to use various sets of precise measurement hand tools
• Experience with AS9102
• Experience with Aircraft structures
• Experience with nonconformance investigation
• Experience inspecting mechanical parts
• Experience with product verification to drawing requirements
• Strong communication and technology skills
• 4 years of hands-on inspection experience with precision machined and composite parts
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Due to the nature of the products, US Citizenship is also a requirement, and background checks are required.

Note: Mechanical inspectors at this level are capable of validating dimensions (total tolerances >/=.005” with Minimal GD&T validation) utilizing standard hand tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages)
