Spur Staffing and Bullock County Schools are in need of a Handicapped Aide to assist for the 2023-2024 school year. Teacher’s aides spend the majority of their time working hands-on with students. An aide who has been assigned to a classroom specifically to assist one student will likely spend almost all of his time working directly with that assigned student. The teacher’s aide may be called upon to assist other students as well. By assisting other students, the teacher’s aide can both ease the burden on the classroom teacher and prevent the student he is there to service from feeling so different from her peers, as she won’t be the only one receiving specialized attention. Aides may also administer medication, help out during emergencies, and bolster students' social and coping skills.

This position may include but may not be limited to;

• toileting assistance may be required 
• Lifting over 50 Ilbs or more 
• Assistance with feeding 
• Assistance pushing or working with wheelchairs
