Duties:
- Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the warehouse
- Safely load and unload trucks using a forklift or pallet jack
- Perform order picking and ensure accurate inventory counts
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking for damaged goods and verifying paperwork
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while operating the forklift
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure proper functioning
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a forklift or similar equipment
- Basic math skills to accurately count inventory and complete paperwork
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Knowledge of different types of forklifts, such as Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with the forklift
