Spruce Valley Payroll is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Farmington, MN

We are adding to our Team @ Spruce Valley Payroll!

We are a local Farmington business and have a full-time payroll / payroll tax position available.

  • Payroll & payroll tax filing experience (multi state) is preferred.
  • Background in the financial / accounting and / or tax industry is a plus.
  • We are looking for someone that has a passion for customer service, the willingness/drive to learn and wants to be a part of an outstanding team!

Competitive wage
35 hours per week Mon - Fri
Standard Hours - 10am-5pm with flexibility
**Currently no health insurance benefits provided**

This is a full time position that is ON-SITE. Payroll/payroll tax experience is required. We serve clients in over 40 states, so multi-state payroll knowledge is a plus!

Responsibilities:
- Process and manage payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing

Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and management
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, payroll tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in using payroll software to process payroll
- Familiarity with technical accounting principles related to payroll

Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees regarding payroll inquiries
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
