Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Infection Preventionist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing infection prevention and control programs to ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and infection control practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
• Conduct infection control risk assessments and surveillance activities to identify and prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, department managers, and other stakeholders to implement strategies for infection prevention and control.
• Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control practices, including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and environmental cleaning.
• Investigate outbreaks of infectious diseases and implement appropriate control measures to prevent further spread.
• Monitor and analyze infection data, trends, and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted interventions.
• Serve as a resource and consultant to healthcare staff on infection prevention and control issues.
• Participate in regulatory compliance activities, including infection control surveys and inspections.

Experience:

• Must have 3-5 years minimum Infection Control Experience.

Certificate & Licensure:

• RN License
• BLS
• CIC
• Covid Booster and Flu report
