Springtide Child Development is Hiring a Clinical Psychologist Near Shrewsbury, MA

At Springtide, we provide a family-centered care model to help children with autism and their families thrive and are building a best-in-class interdisciplinary team to help fulfill that vision.

We are seeking Clinical Psychologist candidates for our Part-Time or Per Diem Clinical Psychologist position. This role will conduct testing and assessment functions to facilitate access to necessary ABA, ST, and OT services for children (ages 2-16) referred to Springtide. This position will report to the Chief Clinical Officer.

Position Hours: This position will work approximately 20 hours per week, days per week are flexible; assessment/reporting activities typically take around 6 hours per child. Candidates that have the ability to travel to cover our 2 clinics in Massachusetts (Dedham and Shrewsbury) are preferred but it is not required. Our clinic hours are M-F 8am-6pm but assessments can be done on the weekends as well.

Responsibilities

  • Complete family interviews for all referred individuals and advise on necessary evaluations
  • Complete ADOS-II assessments for all referred individuals
  • Complete other cognitive and language assessments and reassessments required to accurately diagnose autism spectrum disorder
  • Prepare diagnostic evaluation reports related to assessments for submission to payors for autism benefit coverage, as appropriate
  • Provide feedback to families after the evaluation and provide them with clinical options, including recommendations for further assessment and services
  • Utilization management / review of recommended autism services and supports
  • Leverage clinical knowledge, business rules, regulatory guidelines and policies and procedures to determine clinical appropriateness
  • Participate in care navigation activities as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer to help families navigate the autism benefit as well as other co-occurring conditions or social challenges

Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Massachusetts
  • Training, experience, and expertise in diagnosing ASD in children and adolescents
  • Relevant experience in administering various psychological and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessments to diagnose and / or rule out ASD and intellectual disability
  • Training and experience with specific diagnostic tools required by insurers to support ASD diagnosis, including the ADOS-II, ADI-R, CARS, GARS, Sensory Profile, and Vineland
  • Knowledge of state-specific rules and regulations associated with ASD diagnosis and benefits
  • Ability to collaborate with families and other service providers to help families access and navigate needed services
