JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for maintenance of all equipment and facilities related to Waukegan’s operations. Working as part of a team, complete preventive/corrective maintenance, and projects, for continuous operations of a multi shift assembly operations.
JOB DUTIES
Inspection and maintenance of assembly equipment, sewing machines, waterjet tables, hydraulic presses, compressors, motors, motor controls, electrical substations, CNC pleating and cutting machines. Maintain clean and organized spare parts, tools, equipment, work area, and facility as a whole. Working individually, or as part of a team, in assigned projects (downtime reduction, energy saving, corrective and preventive maintenance)Perform maintenance and projects of facilities (HVAC, lighting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, machine relocation, etc.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
· Minimum Job-Related Experience Preferred: 3 years of maintenance experience
· Welding and electrical experience is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong electrical skills from three phase 480v down to circuitry DC voltage. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills including basic statistical analysis.Ability to read/interpret pneumatic/electrical/hydraulic schematics and diagrams. Must be experienced with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma. Technical writing skills for memos, and project updates.Strong general math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages, fractions, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry)Good interpersonal skills and team building skillsBilingual Spanish and EnglishGood communication skills (verbal, written)General computer skills Excel, MS Word.Manage work according to established project timelines.Mechanical aptitude and dexterity as well as electromechanical knowledge and past experience for both corrective and preventative actions
