We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. Someone that is passionate about delivering mental healthcare in a timely, and orchestrated fashion. We are looking for someone with a true passion to provide mental health care and with the right person an opportunity to for a full time role with benefits. Must be willing to see patients across the lifespan and a plus if you have experience with children. Prefer 2 years of experience but willing to train the right new grad. There will be a front desk person to provide support with scheduling and other administrative tasks. No after hours and no on call responsibilities. Responsibilities:

  • Provides psychoeducation about medications and illness management.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic psychiatric problems and illness
  • Treats patients as needed regarding medication evaluation, furnishing medications and monitoring as needed.
  • Develops, confirms, and maintains nurse practitioner protocols for the care of patients.
  • Develops and maintains a patient load size and complexity commensurate with licensure, experience, and agency needs according to protocol.
  • Assists in refilling medications as needed.
  • Provide supportive psychotherapy.
  • Document in EHR within 24 hours from time of service.
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

Qualifications:

  • Have an active and clear Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) license in the State of Colorado.
  • Licenses and certification should consist of currently licensed by the State of Colorado Board of Registered Nursing as a Registered Nurse; currently certified by the State of Colorado as a Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority, possession of a Furnishing Number approved by the State of Colorado Board of Registered Nursing, with advanced pharmacology courses and training.
  • Active DEA License.
  • ANCC board certification.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $114,400.00 - $135,200.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
