Springhill Medical Center is a full service hospital serving southwest Alabama. Our surgical services include outpatient, inpatient, open-heart and robotic surgery. The hospital is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment, meaning doctors have advanced technology to help them quickly determine a patient's health problem. Springhill's unique heart center offers state-of-the-art services all under one roof. The campus is also home to primary care physicians, a senior residence, sleep center, cancer center, orthopaedic surgery center, wound care & hyperbaric center, and an emergency department staffed by all board-certified emergency medicine physicians.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Full-time Monday-Friday position from 9a-5p. Position includes one call weekend per month, and one weeknight call per week. This opportunity is for a flex nurse to assist with various recovery needs, including patients coming from radiology, bronch lab, GI lab, and surgery.
Requirements:
- Current RN License.
- ACLS and PALS certification need to be obtained within the 1st year of hire date.
- Previous PACU experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a strong customer service focus.
- Strong assessment, organizational and problem-solving skills as evidenced by the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components required.
- Applicant must have excellent patient care assessment and customer service skills.
- Must also have the ability to prioritize and work compatibly in a busy and demanding outpatient environment.
- All employees are required to be vaccinated or provide a valid medical or religious exemption.
