- Title: Part-time Occupational Therapist
- Location: Mesa, AZ
- Duration: Rest of the School Year 23-24
- Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
- Position Type: Part Time
- Working Hours: 40 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' motor, sensory, and cognitive abilities related to school performance.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings and collaboration with the student's educational team.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
- Implement therapeutic interventions and strategies to support students' participation and success in the classroom and school environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy goals and strategies into the students' educational plans.
- Monitor students' progress towards goals, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate regularly with the educational team and parents regarding progress and recommendations.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on strategies to support students' sensory and motor needs in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate documentation of occupational therapy services provided.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and trends in occupational therapy and education through professional development activities.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Arizona.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of developmental milestones, sensory processing, and therapeutic interventions for children with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Dedication to promoting independence, inclusion, and success for all students.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in the field of occupational therapy and education.
