Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate nursing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure the delivery of quality patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and preventive measures
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for wound care and sterile procedures
- Ability to perform patient assessments, including physical examinations and interpretation of diagnostic tests
- Experience with neonatal ventilators for respiratory support
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs
- Knowledge of primary care principles and practices
- Experience administering injections, including intramuscular and subcutaneous routes
