Description

As a Off-site Receiving Attendant you will provide excellent customer service to customers at the landfill dropping off mattresses and box springs. Instructing them where to back up and helping them as needed loading their mattress/ box spring into the trailers.

Work Schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-5:00pm (40hours/week). Overtime pay will be applied to all hours exceeding 40 hours at a rate of 1 1/2 times the base hourly rate.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Off-site Receiving Attendant's primary responsibilities include:
• Stack the semi trailer so it can easily be unloaded with a forklift with a box spring upside down on the bottom of the stack. Stack in like sizes. 110-140 mattresses and box springs should be on each trailer.
• Keep the outside area clear of trash and let landfill staff know if they need to collect any mattresses that aren’t able to be recycled.
• Provide guidance for customers on the acceptable condition of mattresses. Let them know in a polite manner that they need to take them up to the pit because we are not able to recycle mattresses in unacceptable conditions.
• Be physically present during scheduled shift except during 30 min lunch break. 8:30am-5pm. Clocking in and out with GPS on.

Physical Requirements:

• Must work well independently
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift for long periods of time
• Lifting and carrying objects up to 80 pounds
• Sufficient upper body strength to stack mattresses up to 9 high
• Ability to turn and maneuver mattresses and box springs
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment
