The Division of Communication, Visual and Performing Arts at Spring Hill College invites applications from qualified persons interested in teaching music appreciation, jazz history and other non-performance music classes for students of all disciplines. These classes are primarily taught at night, meeting one time each week, beginning the fall semester of 2024.
Required qualifications:
Master’s degree in music, music education, music performance or a related field.
Documented experience in presenting materials to audiences.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience teaching college, high school or middle school music classes.
Graduate coursework in music, music education or a related field.
Experience performing music in a concert setting.
Ability to quickly adapt to a course management system used to support student learning and as the primary coursework submission system.
Experience using presentation media to support student learning.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both speaking and writing.
