Spring Health is Hiring a Remote Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Reporting to VP of Engineering in the Member Experience unit, the Engineering Manager will support a team of engineers and partner closely with Product Management and other functional partners on projects related to how Spring Health delivers services to our end users.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Recruiting and making hiring decisions for open positions on your team
  • Attending to the professional growth of the engineers you support
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and with high qualityEnsuring your team’s components are supported operationally
  • Maintaining a healthy engineering culture
  • Manage, support, and grow the engineering organization responsible for building our member portal
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll define technical requirements, prioritize projects, and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries
  • Mentor and guide our software engineers, fostering their growth and development through coaching and real-time feedback
  • Provide technical guidance to our software engineers and stay informed on industry best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Work within an Agile framework, with a focus on results over process

What we expect from you:

  • 8 years of full stack programming expertise preferably React and Ruby on Rails
  • 4 years of software Engineering Manager experience, and enjoys being a technical hands-on manager
  • 4 years of software engineering experience in a mature engineering orgs
  • Have demonstrated a track record of building high-quality products, cross-functional collaboration and managing high-performing teams

The target salary range for this position is $179,100 - $218,550, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
