The Summer Camp Instructor is responsible for using provided materials to plan, teach, and coordinate day camp for a specific age group. This includes carrying out plans and leads themed camps with support from a summer team.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff.Assist or lead in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers within activities and throughout the camp in order to meet the intended camper outcomes.Participate in the development and implementation of program activities for campers within the mission and outcomes.Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior.Represent the camp when interacting with parents or community members.Employment QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or older.Has excitement, joy, and passion for working with kidsHas strong verbal and written communication skills with kids, employees, and parentsCooperative, supportive, flexible, organizedAble to create positive classroom community and build relationships with studentsHas a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset
