SAU's Online Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program is growing fast. We are currently accepting applications for adjunct faculty who hold certifications as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHMP). Positions are available related to clinical faculty and teaching.

Bridging the gap between theory and practice, experienced nurse practitioners educate and engage MSN and Post-masters certification (PMC) students in an intimate learning environment. Our Nursing Faculty bring learning to life in an online environment and psych clinical rotations. Specifically, the online environment is a critical way to connect and engage our students, whether through ZOOM or Collaborate via the Blackboard portal. Open communication is critical to the individual student’s success and may require frequent reaching out to the student(s).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master of Science in Nursing; DNP or Ph.D. preferred.
Holds a current and unencumbered licensure in one of the 50 states (OK, WA, NY, MN, ND, OR, and NE preferred) as Psychiatric-Mental Health NP
At least one year of experience as a certified PMHNP (2-years for OR) in a primary care clinical setting
Prior instructional and precepting experience with graduate-level students is strongly preferred
Comfortable with the online environment, including but not limited to ZOOM, Collaborate, Shadow Health, etc.
Experience working in multicultural academic environments is preferred and individuals from diverse populations are encouraged to apply.
