Spreetail is looking for a Director of Merchandising to lead the vision and ecommerce strategy of an entire category. This position will not only be responsible for the overall success of a category, but they will also have the opportunity to lead a team of direct and indirect reports, collaborate across numerous departments, and develop long-term partnerships with our top-tier vendors while representing Spreetail when meeting with decision-makers.

How you will achieve success:

  • Own the visions, strategy, performance, and overall success of a category in order to maintain and exceed long-term profitability goals.
  • Execute extensive negotiations with brands to obtain the best pricing, volume, etc.
  • Strategize profit growth opportunities by analyzing data and identifying selection gaps.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive change (Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Experience, and Business Intelligence).
  • Utilize previous leadership experience to coach and develop a group of direct and indirect reports.
Experiences that will help you in this role:
  • A track record of impacting business outcomes in regard to strategy and overall performance of business line.
  • The ability to build strong vendor relationships and drive negotiations.
  • You have managed large profit and loss statements and have managed and monitored team metrics.
  • 5 years in buying, procurement, or sourcing functions.
  • Strong background in managing a P&L with enterprise level brands
