The Billing Associate will accurately manage and invoice customer accounts by utilizing management systems, working with operations staff, sales personnel, and counterparty personnel. This role involves invoice generation, data entry, billing verification, billing issue resolution, monthly reconciliation, reporting and process improvement. If you are detail oriented, customer focused, and have strong analytical and mathematical skills, then this is the job for you! This role will also require overtime from time to time.

  • Invoice Generation: Preparing and generating accurate and timely invoices based on upon contracts, volumetric information and utility/carrier parameters.
  • Data Entry: Entering billing and payment information into the accounting or billing system with a high level of accuracy.
  • Billing Verification: Reviewing invoices for correctness, completeness, and adherence to company policies and contractual agreements.
  • Billing Issue Resolution: Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies, disputes, and billing-related problems promptly.
  • Monthly Reconciliation: Performing monthly billing reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately reflected.
  • Reporting: Preparing and generating periodic billing reports for management and other departments as required.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.

Qualified candidates for this role will have the following:

  • Advanced computer literacy with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
