Job Summary:

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, performs a variety of duties related to attendance and record keeping; monitor attendance and assist with various attendance procedures; communicate with parents and guardians regarding attendance concerns and related issues; provide information regarding division policy and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

• Monitor attendance in order to provide reports to the attendance team.
• Attend attendance team meetings as scheduled by administration.
• Communicate directly with families of identified students; to include phone calls, emails, attendance letters, and in-person meetings.
• Conduct small group interventions for students needing Tier 2 attendance support.
• Assist counselor and registrar with the state reporting form.
• Refer Tier 3 attendance concerns according to established procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned that are related to the scope of the position.

• Demonstrates the professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with teachers, administrators, students, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrates excellent speaking skills, talking to others to convey information effectively.
• The ability to learn and apply attendance policy and procedures, as well as to prepare and present timely reports to various stakeholders.
• Critical thinker who is able to work through complex circumstances with school staff, students, and families in order to support school attendance.

Experience/Education Required:

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a social sciences field.

Salary:

• This position is paid hourly for work on an as-needed hourly basis. Hourly rate ranges from $20 - $30 per hour. No benefits package is offered with this position.
