Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. Your expertise in medical coding and billing systems will contribute to the financial success of our medical office. Responsibilities: - Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for billing purposes - Enter coded data into the billing system and ensure accuracy of information - Generate and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary - Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations - Assist with medical collection efforts when necessary Skills: - Proficient in medical billing and coding procedures - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems - Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective communication skills to interact with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers Join our team as a Medical Biller and contribute to the smooth financial operations of our medical office.
