Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately billing and coding medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient records. This is a vital role in our medical office, as accurate billing and coding directly impact our financial success and patient satisfaction. Duties: - Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy and completeness - Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10) to diagnoses and procedures - Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit when necessary - Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues or discrepancies - Process payments from insurance companies and patients - Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and coding - Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding guidelines Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Medical Billing preferred - Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, DRG systems, and medical office procedures - Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health record systems - Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding principles - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Note: All positions at our company are paid positions, including internships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.84 - $18.89 per hour
