Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the warehouse or production area
- Safely load and unload trucks using a forklift or other powered industrial equipment
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues or malfunctions
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe working environment
- Use order picking systems and equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed, including loading and unloading trucks and inspecting incoming shipments
- Operate other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hi-lo machines as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a forklift or similar powered industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills to accurately count and track inventory
- Familiarity with order picking systems and processes is preferred
- Experience with shipping and receiving procedures is a plus
