Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Claims Processor. As a Claims Processor, you will be responsible for accurately processing and managing insurance claims. This is a vital role in ensuring timely reimbursement for medical services provided. Responsibilities: - Review and analyze insurance claims for accuracy and completeness - Verify insurance coverage and eligibility - Ensure proper coding of medical procedures and diagnoses - Utilize medical coding systems such as ICD-9, HCPCS, and DRG - Process claims according to established guidelines and regulations - Investigate and resolve any claim discrepancies or issues - Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding claim status or additional information needed - Maintain accurate documentation of claims processing activities Skills: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Proficiency in insurance verification and claims processing - Familiarity with medical coding systems such as ICD-9, HCPCS, and DRG - Understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Attention to detail to ensure accurate claim processing - Strong problem-solving skills to resolve claim discrepancies - Effective communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients Join our team as a Claims Processor and contribute to the efficient processing of insurance claims.
