Sportsman Boats is looking for a Production Scheduler who will be responsible for prioritizing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products through the complete production cycle to ensure timely manufacture of finished goods in the appropriate order and to maximize production resources throughout the facility.

What you will do:

• Support design and implementation of a master scheduling program; create reporting tools necessary to analyze historical data and trends.
• Plan and assign work to achieve optimum efficiency and utilization through the manufacturing areas while limiting or controlling overtime expenses.
• Monitor production to ensure schedules are being met and customer orders are satisfied; document and address production bottlenecks and notify leadership of production scheduling problems.
• Provide quick responses to production issues.
• Manage multiple simultaneous production schedules while creating long-term and short-term production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels to create production schedules.
• Attend and participate in production meetings as scheduled.
• Coordinate engineering changes and temporary deviations with production schedules to ensure accurate production bill of materials and accurate inventory.
• Create and update necessary reports. Release work orders from shortage report as applicable. 
• Communication with other departments as needed.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management or equivalent on the job experience
• Demonstrated knowledge in computer applications such as MRP, ERP, and intermediate level Microsoft Suite
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and varied projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate across functional lines and work effectively in a team environment
• Maintain a highly professional, ethical, and responsible image when dealing with vendors
• Self-directed with ability to anticipate and resolve issues and to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced time management and organizational skills

What you should know or have done:

• Knowledge of manufacturing scheduling systems
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Production Scheduling, Purchasing or Supply Chain
• APICS certified
• Demonstrated understanding of MRP, Demand Management systems and Master Production Schedule
