SEASONAL SHIPPING TRAINER

Department: Shipping
Reports to: Shipping Supervisor
Location: On-site in Mebane, NC
THIS IS AN INTERNAL HIRE POSITION

Job Purpose
Our fulfillment center is seeking enthusiastic candidates that have prior experience working within a fulfillment environment. This position will be expected to help the Shipping Group continue to meet customer expectations by achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals. The right candidate will be a candidate that is seen as a role model for other team members and portrays a solid understanding of our shipping process. This position will work alongside of the shipping leadership team to support our new team members throughout their training and onboarding period within pick, pack, sort, and all areas shipping related.

We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a strong focus on customer service and a desire to work for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.

Position Hours and Expectations: Occasional weekend hours will be necessary and expected during the busy season to ensure proper training and commitment to our customers. Seasonal opportunity is expected to last through end of September/October.

1st shift 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
2nd shift 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm

NOTE: This position will transition to a 12-hour shift schedule starting on or around May 28th, 2024.

Major Accountabilities/Essential Duties
Responsibilities:

Have knowledge of all areas (packing, sorting, and picking) and procedures of the Shipping department.
Be able to take lead in the department when a Supervisor is absence to ensure the department is meeting goals and running smoothly.
Assist with training team members and working with new hires
Distribute work throughout all areas within shipping accordingly.
Be a resource for questions and guidance for team members throughout the department.
Assist with all duties in all areas of the Shipping Department when there is a need.
Responsible for keeping a clean and safe working environment throughout the CFC.

Requirements:

Candidate should have a proven track record for strong organization skills, high attention to detail and a very high focus on accuracy.
Initiative, adaptability, patience and a positive attitude are a must within the role.
Candidate should be production oriented and must have a proven history of punctuality, minimal absenteeism and proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel and reach about your head.
Must be able to go up and down step ladders safely while carrying products.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other basic computer skills a must.
Must be proficient in English in order to be considered for this position.

Skills and Abilities
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Computer Skills: Some basic computer skills preferred.
