Spring Audit Internship: (January- May) 

• Learns and completes audit procedures according to guidelines and firm procedures 
• Assesses compliance by examining, analyzing, and verifying financial accounts, fixed assets and inventories, payrolls or cash accounts, grant program costs, records, reports, operating practices, documentation, and related instruments
• Verifies information by comparing and analyzing items to documentation
• Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings
• Communicates audit progress and findings to coaches and managers
• Studies and complies with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assignments as needed

Summer Tax Internship: (June- early August) 

• Learns and completes various Tax and Accounting projects, including:
  • Preparation of Forms 1099
  • Annual business accounting services
  • Various business tax returns
  • Personal tax returns
  • Tangible property returns
• Through a general understanding of basic accounting concepts, assists in Client Accounting Services projects as needed
• Studies and complies with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assignments as needed

Qualifications:

• Keen interest in a career in public accounting
•  Current accounting major
•  Personally and academically motivated
•  Distinguished in the classroom, on campus, and in the community
