Job Summary:

The Liquid Measurement Technician II must be team-oriented, proactive, and goal-driven. This position is responsible for operating various types of liquid provers under limited supervision. All work is performed under the general supervision of the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain job tickets; 
  • Operate various types of liquid provers with understanding of all associated equipment;
  • Custody transfer and allocation proving;
  • Obtain spot and composite samples, transport hazardous and/or non-hazardous materials;
  • Determine API gravity and S&W;
  • Troubleshoot and repair measurement-related equipment;
  • Perform root cause failure analysis;
  • Basic troubleshooting of automation equipment;
  • Maintenance of tools and equipment;
  • Complete all assigned tasks under limited assistance or supervision;
  • Train new employees on primary duties;
  • This is a very safety sensitive and accuracy and dependability are critical to the success of this role;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED:
  • Maintain a DOT Certification and/or CDL A License (No Restrictions) as deemed necessary;
  •  Maintain good standing status of OQSG quals: CT039, CT271, & CT60; 
  •  Maintain required State measurement certifications and quals; 
  • Consistent data management and reporting task(s) completion;
  • 1-3 years minimum liquid measurement experience;
  • Working knowledge of flow computer configuration software;
  •  Working knowledge of all production-based assets within a standard facility; 
  •  Must be proficient with and able to perform all Liquid Measurement Technician I primary tasks as defined by SPL’s Liquid Measurement Technician
    Skillsets and Career Path under limited supervision;
  • Must be proficient in 1 Primary Task, 1 ancillary skill, and 2 added value skills as defined by SPL’s Liquid Measurement Technician Skillsets and Career
    Path;
  • Must have advanced, working knowledge of AGA/GPA/API Measurement Guidelines, BLM, and State regulatory requirements.

Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Relocation:

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires local travel/ and some out-of-town stays.

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8 hours, Monday-Friday in the Greeley, CO SPL client locations. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
