SPJ Construction Inc is Hiring a Project Superintendent Near Ontario, CA

Position: Superintendent

Job Description:

The Superintendent is responsible for the supervision, planning, and coordination of the day-to-day activities of the construction of the project, including but not limited to scheduling, issuing and managing RFI's and Submittals. The Superintendent will be responsible for reviewing shop drawings and making sure that field personnel are installing per plan and approved shop drawings. They will be responsible for the supervision of construction personnel, ensuring quality control and safety during all construction phases. The Superintendent will also be responsible for assisting in budgeting and forecasting, as well as assisting in the recruitment and hiring process for new employees. The Superintendent will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records on all construction phases and projects.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of construction activities.
  • Ensure that all subcontractors are properly trained and have proper credentials to perform work.
  • Ensure that all plans, specifications, and blueprints are accurate.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that budgets are met and project timelines are met.
  • Ensure that all permits are properly obtained.
  • Ensure that permits are signed by the client on time.
  • Oversee daily progress reports from construction personnel.
  • Ensure that daily job site inspections are completed.
  • Oversee daily progress reports from the general contractor.
  • Oversee daily progress reports from the sub-contractors.
  • Oversee daily progress reports from the suppliers and vendors.
  • Oversee daily progress reports from the contractors’ assistants.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment and tools used during construction activities.
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times by following OSHA regulations and other applicable state and local regulations.

Qualifications:
·Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction management or supervising crews of subcontractors working on large-scale projects (hospitality preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Ability to Relocate:

  • Ontario, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
