Spivak Architects is currently seeking an Intermediate Architect with 5 years of New York City experience. The firm is a collaborative design studio specializing in a wide range of project types including residential, hospitality and commercial, both renovation and new construction. The studio is interested in candidates that have both technical skills and are also contributors in the design dialogue and culture of the firm.

Requirements for candidates:

• Bachelor of Architecture or Master’s degree in Architecture
• Strong design sense in addition to knowledge of technical constructability
• Extensive experience producing drawing sets (all phases) with an emphasis on construction detailing and construction documentation
• Proficiency with Revit required (other 3D modeling experience, such as Rhino, 3ds Max, a plus) (experience with Enscape preferred)
• Self-motivated and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
• Good organization and communications skills
• Advanced interpersonal skills: friendly and direct communication with clients, consultants and staff is critical to this role
• Knowledge of NYC building code and experience with the DOB
