A Sr. Corporate Accountant for Spire Hospitality is based in Irving, TX. We are a hospitality management company with close t0 30 hotel properties across the country in 17 states. We work in the Corp. office Mon-Thrs. and work remote on Fridays. Come join this great team. Job responsibilities:
Maintenance of the GL, preparation of journal entries and accruals
Ensure timeliness of the month-end close process and completeness and accuracy of accounting records
Preparation of fee calculations (management fees, distribution amounts, etc.) in accordance with the applicable agreements
Monthly, quarterly, and year end reporting & financial statement preparation in accordance with US GAAP
Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations, promptly addressing any discrepancies by collaborating with Finance team members and communicating unresolved items to the supervisor
Prepare balance sheet recs with supporting documentation
Identify and propose process improvements
Monitor internal control procedures
Cash management including preparation of cash forecasts and managing vendor payables
Maintain expense reports, & company credit cards
Maintain lender reporting including updating the debt covenant testing schedules
Develop and execute complex firm-wide allocations for month-end processes
Prepare PBC items for the year-end audits conducted by independent accounting firm.
Train and develop staff accountants
Perform additional duties as and when assigned
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
Property Management and multi-entity experience a plus
Solid familiarity with GAAP
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and quantitative skills
Must be experienced in use of accounting enterprise software. M3 experience a plus
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
