Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead our established housekeeping team. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and a welcoming environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, including scheduling, task assignment, and quality control.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and effective cleaning practices.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise housekeeping staff.
- Provide feedback, coaching, and training to staff members.
- Manage staff schedules, vacations, and time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage and productivity.
- Inspect areas to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with company standards and health regulations.
- Address and resolve complaints and concerns related to housekeeping services in a timely and professional manner.
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to maintain high-quality housekeeping services.
- Manage housekeeping supplies and equipment inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.
- Monitor and control expenses related to housekeeping operations to optimize costs and maximize profitability.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement of cleaning products, linens, and other housekeeping supplies.
- Develop and conduct training programs for housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the housekeeping department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping management or a similar role
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and industry best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background screening
- Perform a high quality of work unsupervised
- Need to be able to lift 50 lbs
