Immediate full time opening for an experienced procedure scheduler/precertification specialist. Job duties include scheduling and obtaining precertification/prior authorization for epidural steroid injections, RFA, and other procedures using various carrier's websites and/or phone call requirements. Educate patients about pre-and post-procedure expectations. Work with provider and other staff to ensure prompt and accurate scheduling. Serve as back-up for surgical schedulers. Obtain medical clearances from other providers before patient surgeries as needed. Best suited for a highly organized individual who can work independently and take ownership of this work flow. Hours are M-Th 7:30 AM-5 PM, F-8:00 AM-3:00 PM. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and 401(k) plan. Must undergo drug screen and background check. Orthopedic or neurosurgical experience preferred, medical experience required. We are an independent practice with less than 50 employees.
