Accountabilities of a ICST Rehabilitation Specialist

1. Provide education and coaching to the person they support regarding social, civic, and vocational skills to improve the quality of their lives and to increase their ability to be competitively employed and live successfully in the community. 
2. Rehabilitation Specialists realize that their role includes being a mentor and a facilitator. They inform the people they support regarding their responsibilities and advocate with them for their valued role in society.
3. Collaborate with the person they support to create goals that promote recovery and progress towards goals towards full participation in their community.
4. Displays therapeutically appropriate interactions and professionalism while on site.
5. Communicates positively and effectively with families, team members, other SPIN employees, supervisor and external parties regarding issues, data and progress and the successes of each individual to support achievement of outcomes and assure quality service.
6. Respects the privacy of the people they support and commit to promote their physical and emotional wellbeing. 

The Tools you Need 

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with two years prior experience working with individuals with dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and a mental health diagnosis.
• Driver’s license
• Covid Vaccination
