Spin Laundry Lounge, Portland’s eco-focused laundromat seeks experienced candidates to join our team in the position of Laundry Attendant. Great customer service must be your second nature and a passion for sustainability is a must. Laundry Attendants assist our customers in selecting their washer and dryer features, payment options, offering complementary detergent and educating customers on the eco-logical and economical benefits of our high-tech, high-efficiency washers and dryers. We are open daily from 8am to 10pm with closing shifts ending at 11pm. Closing and weekend availability is essential. 

Down-time in this role is very limited. Laundry Attendants will keep the Laundromat, Soap Shop and surrounding areas impeccably clean in a proactive fashion. It is your job to keep Spin a bright, clean and comfortable space for our customers to spend time in. Laundry Attendants will also be responsible for weighing, recording, washing and folding both smaller drop off Wash & Fold orders and larger commercial orders in a timely manner, during each shift throughout the week. 

SPECIFIC TO COVID-19:

During this time we are open daily from 8am to 7pm with closing shifts ending by 8pm. At our both our Broadway and Fremont locations, we are accepting curb-side drop off of laundry and have proper masks and latex free gloves to wear throughout each shift. We also have additional cleaning and disinfecting schedules to ensure a clean and safe space. The safety of our employees, customers and community is most important. We are also working on launching a personal laundry delivery service soon. Along with the drop off service, we are also open to the public for self service laundry. We are encouraging that everyone wear masks covering their nose and mouth while inside.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

1. Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner, and provide exceptional customer service. 

2. Assist customers with the washers and dryers. 

3. Wash, dry and fold laundry as instructed. 

4. Maintain an extremely clean Laundromat. This includes cleaning counters/furniture/bathrooms/floors/laundry equipment/etc. 

5. Use the POS system to ring up orders and accurately handle and report cash. 

If hired, all applicants must present evidence of U.S. citizenship or proof of your legal right to work in the United States. Also, you must be able to lift 50 pounds.
