USPI Spicewood Surgery Center, is seeking a motivated Radiology Tech to join our team. Spicewood Surgery Center is a multi-specialty surgery center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday; schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day.Float opportunities with shift differential are available to supplement hours during the slower times.Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings, depending on surgical schedule, and be comfortable or willing to learn and assist with sterile processing.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Duties:

• The Radiology Technician will perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including operation of special imaging and radiology equipment.Skilled at sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures.
• Assists circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining sterile environment.
• Transports all surgical equipment to appropriate cleaning areas.Assists in sterile supply with cleaning and reprocessing of instruments.
• BLS required upon start date
• Knowledge or willingness to learn and assist in Sterile Processing required.
• Assist with procurement/management of supplies, including ordering and receiving supplies, stocking supplies, communicating and coordinating with vendors, managing and maintaining inventory.
• Experience in healthcare materials management is preferred, but not necessary.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology
• AART Registered
• Must have a current Texas state license (MRT)
• One or mores years of experience in related field and/or healthcare facility preferred
• Must possess strong OR skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families
• Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
