Candidates for the Retail Stocking Associate will need to support a changing schedule of opening, closing, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Stocking and Replenishment: Receive, unload, and unpack merchandise deliveries.
- Ensure all products are accurately stocked on shelves, racks, or designated storage areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and promptly restock shelves to meet customer demand.
- Inventory Management: Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Notify management of any discrepancies or shortages in inventory.
- Organization and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store, including aisles, storage areas, and backrooms.
- Keep merchandise displays neat and visually appealing.
- Ensure all safety and sanitation standards are upheld.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the products sold in the store to assist customers with inquiries and locate items efficiently.
- Stay updated on product features, promotions, and pricing.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful customer service by assisting shoppers with locating products, answering questions, and offering recommendations when needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth store operations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to coordinate tasks and prioritize workload.
- Perform cashier duties as needed.
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or stocking preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
