Eaton is Hiring a Fabrication Machine Operator -2nd Shift Near Arden, NC
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator -2nd Shift.
Shift Hours: 3:30pm - 2am Monday - Thursday
The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour, plus a $2 / hour increase for 2nd shift.

What you’ll do:
Position Overview:
The Fabrication Operator is responsible to process and bend raw material through the Fabrication Department. Performing initial set-up for machine operation.
In this function you will:
- Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts
- Interpret work orders including; written, oral, Kanban cards, and drawings
- Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation
- Inspect final component against work specifications
- Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment
- Provide on-the-job training for new operators
- Perform TPM and 5S responsibilities daily
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- No relocation offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Arden, NC in order to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred qualifications:
- Machining Certificate.
- Previous experience in Fabrication.
Position Success Criteria:
- Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead.
- Able to read calipers, protractors and tape measures.
- Able to read blue prints.
- Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance.
- Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
- Able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends.
