6 Month Contract FE Warren AFB Client: Fluor Principal Fire Detection and Alarm Engineer Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of EnergyOrders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to fire Detection and Alarm design. Responsibilities: • Provide technical direction to assigned engineers. • Conduct construction document reviews as required. • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level III (Fire Alarm Systems) Certification acceptable in lieu of B.S. in Engineering. • Supervise design and installation when required. • Review and assist with preparation of as-builts and close-out documentation. • Oversee system commissioning. • Review and approve shop drawings. • Report on Fire Alarm design and installation progress. Education and Experience: • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Fire Detection and Alarm Engineering or similar accredited engineering B.S.,minimum 15 years of practical related engineering practice (nuclear preferred), 8 years of whichwill have been in charge of diverse fire Detection and Alarm engineering design/construction work. Professional Engineer License preferred but not required. • Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required. Travel Requirements • Full Time On-site Cheyenne, WY • Home travel once per month is not mandated/defined and is by employee discretion with no impact to site progress; to be planned in advance • Work on site during construction and commissioning of systems • Approximate time frame is December 2023 through end of June 2024.
