Position: Superintendent
Location: New Orleans, LA
Position Summary:
As a Superintendent, you will play a critical role in overseeing the successful execution of commercial electrical projects. You will be responsible for managing on-site construction activities, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to schedule work and allocate resources effectively.
- Oversee the installation and testing of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Supervise and provide leadership to on-site personnel, including electricians and subcontractor crews.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and material deliveries.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in the commercial electrical construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate on-site personnel.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
