Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA) - Cosmos DB
Location: On-site and remote work (50% onsite required)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) Contractor to join our team for staff augmentation purposes. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and managing our Azure-based Cosmos DB database environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Azure and Cosmos DB, and will be able to work with both on-premise and cloud-based databases. The candidate should also have excellent problem-solving skills, be a team player, and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and manage Azure-based Cosmos DB database environment
• Define, plan, implement, and support Cosmos DB databases for the enterprise
• Monitor and maintain database performance, security, and availability
• Provide support for database-related issues and incidents
• Optimize database performance and scalability
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery solutions
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality database solutions

Required Skills:

• Experience with Azure and Cosmos DB
• Knowledge of database architecture, design, and best practices
• Ability to perform database maintenance tasks, such as backup and recovery, database tuning, and performance monitoring
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• 50% onsite work required
• Experience with cloud-based databases
• Experience with database administration of Cosmos DB
• Ability to manage multiple databases and projects simultaneously
