Job Description
Perform Quality Assurance (QA) functions mostly on the Production floor.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Verify that product quality meets minimum requirements. Product weight, temperature, appearance, accuracy of labels, and room temperature to name a few.
- Monitor manufacturing and storage conditions.
- Accurately complete daily reports promptly.
- Perform and document monitoring procedures, and corrective actions as necessary for the HACCP or Food Safety and Quality Plans.
- Work and communicate professionallyexperienced quality with Operations and USDA.
- Follow and enforce all Food Safety & Quality rules and regulations, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation SOPs, and other pre-requisite programs.
- Hold raw materials or finished products when needed.
- Other duties assigned by the Assistant QA Manager.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Be able to work in a standing position in cold conditions, <45ºF, for long periods.
- Bilingual required (English/Spanish)
