Primary Purpose:

The Foreman will be responsible for his team in making sure the landscape is installed properly, stays on track as scheduled, and the finished product is green and healthy; free of weeds, pests, and rubbish when turned over to the customer. The Foreman is responsible for ensuring the newly landscaped lawn and irrigation system is installed according to the plan/scope of work and schedule set by the President/Installation Manager.

Essential Functions:

- Supervise, train, and coordinate the work of the crew leader and crew members. - Communicate with management and the team, on a daily basis, in the morning and afternoon, to set-up the job for the next day. Be sure all material and supplies are loaded and ready to roll out in a timely manner. - Photograph and document any pre-existing conditions prior to staring the work and report findings in writing on daily field report. Verbally report findings to department manager. - Know, understand, and follow the daily and weekly schedule of the projects. - Coordinate, plans, and orders materials, supplies, tools, and equipment for the project. Assures these items are on site in a timely manner to keep the project on schedule and in budget. Be sue PO’s are requested in a timely manner and approved prior to ordering or picking up supplies. - Maintain and update job schedules, time off requests or other employee forms with the input and approval of the department manager. - Organize crew leader and crew members to get the most production, and in the most efficient manner; all while performing the work in the safest manner. - Work with crew leader to document the daily tasks and work accomplished for the day. Photograph the project t show the progression from start to completion. - Scan and email forms needing to go to accounting, payroll, or admin teams in a timely manner or as requested. - Be sure all work is done following blueprints or job specifications. - Operate various types and size of equipment. Train and teach crew members how to properly and safely operate various types of equipment and tools. - Properly layout and plant various types of plant material and grasses following the blueprints, - Assist maintenance crew and nursery crew when needed. - Assist customers with their various needs and report these requests to the department manager. - Assist with interviewing applicants as needed or requested. - Review and assist with the daily field reports and service records with crew leader at the end of each workday. - Assist to inspect the job site upon completion. - Assist to track service of company vehicle assigned to team (changing fluids, checking air in the tires, filling gas tank, safety checks, cleaning trucks and equipment daily and washing the trucks down every Friday. - Set, maintain and oversee a schedule for cleaning and organizing the shop, including restrooms. - Attend training courses and seminars.
