POSITION: Retail IT Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION: As Retail IT Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of IT equipment for our customers. Your primary duties will include assembling, configuring, and repairing various retail hardware such as computers, POS systems, printers, and peripherals within our service level agreement.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Perform pass/fail diagnostic testing, cleaning, and refurbishment on retail equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Install and update software applications, drivers, and firmware.
• Ability to follow standard operating processes, instructions, and customer specifications.
• Adhere to customer service level agreements and quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate transactions and detailed data entry and record keeping for all work being processed within our enterprise resource planning tools (IFS).
• Ability to research and obtain necessary equipment specifications, test procedures, and diagnostic information, and any/all required documents and guides needed for processing.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding IT security, data privacy, and compliance.
• Maintain documentation of IT hardware configurations, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest technology trends and developments in retail IT systems and hardware.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Maintain a consistent and positive attendance pattern.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with our team.
• ICET Certification preferred.
• A Certification preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Ability to lift and carry IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods while performing hardware installations and repairs.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small components and tools. Work Environment:
• Work primarily takes place in back offices and/or repair depots.
