The Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District is seeking School Nurse Substitutes to support student service delivery needs district-wide. The successful candidates will be: * Responsible for professional, medical treatment of students* Responsible for early detection of physical problems and health evaluations* Responsible for disease prevention* Assists in promoting programs on health-education and immunization* Maintains clinical records* Coordinates vision, hearing, lice, and orthopedic screening and health assessments* Provides emergency aid to students and school staff* Assists teachers in instructing students in health and nutrition education* Take part in the decision-making for sick child dismissal and re-admittance to school* Monitor attendance/absence patterns and follow-up on student injuries and illness* Perform other duties assigned by Superintendent of Schools or designee
