EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST

Speerhead Beyond is currently looking for an EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST to work with Individuals with Special Needs in the Collin County area of Texas. Employment Specialist will be required to work all of Collin County (and possibly neighboring counties). Our customers in this area are referred to us by the Texas Workforce Commission and need varying levels of special assistance finding sustainable, long-term, meaningful employment.

Upon placing the customer into employment, you will be teaching and reinforcing skills to increase the client’s independence and ability to meet the employer’s expectations. This unique position truly provides the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of others.

JOB ELEMENTS:

• Must be available 8A-5P Monday-Friday; Some weekends.
• Start Date: Immediately
• The position is performance-based position with bonuses/commissions. The top producers for this position can earn between $45,000 and $65,000 annually.
• Achieve target of a minimum of 4 placements per month.
• The Employment Specialist must be a focused, organized professional; a “self-starter with a servant’s heart"
• Must possess the ability to manage a sizeable caseload.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be willing to work throughout Collin County
• Must have completed or be willing to take the Job Skills Training, Job Placement, and Supported Employment Courses through UNTWISE within the first six months of employment.
• Must have a personal computer.
• Must be proficient in MS Office Applications.
• Must be able to send and receive emails.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field required.
• Professional. Ethical. RELIABLE. Kind.
• MUST Pass Background Check
• Documented experience working in special education, specific disabilities, social work, counseling, or business/sales.
• Social work background helpful.
• Sales background extremely helpful.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
