Fire & Safety Manager and Vice President of Operations
Job Description:
A Fire & Safety Team Member ensures the safety of guests, employees, the tracks and facility at all times.
Essential Functions
Ensure the safety of the premises for guests and employees
Inspect the track & premises for potential hazards before and during each shift
Communicate with departments via radio/walkie talkie
Maintain the conditions and requirement stated on Las Vegas Motorsports Park safety permit
In the event of incipient fires, extinguish immediately
Contain and evacuate for fires other than incipient fires
Ensure employees are aware of the exact location of fire firefighting equipment in the immediate area
Maintain constant means of communication with track management
Drive fire & safety vehicle
Maintains communication with local fire departments
Maintains all OSHA required regulations, documents and certification
Assists other departments with guest concerns
All other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; to stand; to walk; to see; to use a radio; be on feet for extended period of time; to use hands; to drive; to possibly be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds; be able to work in outside temperatures of up to 120 F in summer and 30 F in winter and regularly hear loud, repetitive noise.
