Position Overview

The role of Business Unit Technical Advisor is to create a high-quality experience for our Dr’s. This position will work with a specific subset of customers within a business unit, and be responsible for ensuring the expected quality of each restoration is achieved and that the Dr is completely satisfied with the entire experience in working with the lab. The role will entail communicating directly with Dr’s about cases to come, cases in progress, and cases that need slight adjustments to achieve the highest quality result for the dentist.

Responsibilities

· Support all aspects of the customer experience for their business unit at a particular site:

o Owns customer relationship for specific Doctors

o Technical advisory to internal and external customers

o Support technical and material change implementation (following company committee approval)

o Support the quality output and customer specifications of the business unit

· Ensure a successful Dr onboarding for new accounts: this position would speak directly with the Dr and obtain all the necessary technical information, to ensure a successful relationship

· Answer all technical questions on cases for the subset of Dr’s assigned to their business unit.

· Provide advice on material selection, case prep, design parameters, etc. for their business unit, and support the implementation within operations

· Responsible for the quality of the restorations output of the business unit. The Business Unit Tech Advisor will work closely with their operational counterparts and their Business Unit Manager to ensure the product is produced on quality and to customer specifications.

· Evaluate all remakes for their business unit and assign fault and reason to the case while feedbacking to the operational leaders on areas of improvement.

· Any special projects requested by management

· Any task assigned by the executive team that aligns with the company’s mission

Qualifications

· 5 years of dental laboratory experience

. 3 -5 years of Dental assistant or RDA experience

. CTD Certified preferred.

· Prior professional experience working in a customer service and/or customer-related role is required

· Superior communication skills – effective and strong interpersonal skills

· Ability and willingness to learn the processes and procedures that the lab functions by

· Ability to work in a team

· Active and effective listening skills and ability to develop strong customer relationships

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
